Hyundai Assembly Plant Sri Lanka

Hyundai Sri Lanka headed by Abans Automobile set out to complete an impossible task during COVID times when the whole world was facing an economic shut down. When all other companies were minimising risk and cutting back they decided to go against all odds. Hyundai is well known for its manufacturing quality and its technology in Automation. So this was a mission to plan out a manufacturing process that would both meet the standards of a global automotive giant Hyundai and to keep it feasible for a country and economy like Sri Lanka. A small team headed by Mr. Amanda Gunarathna from Abans Auto and we at Cartec trading planned every individual step and component with meticulous attention to detail. We changed an existing TVS motorbike assembly line in Seeduwa to the Hyundai assembly line in Sri Lanka today. We worked hand in hand with a team from Hyundai Korea during different parts of this process and helped set up the entire plant from ground up to what it is today. Definitely one of the most noteworthy projects we have completed to date.
